How Do I Verify My Outlook Account?

How Do I Verify My Outlook Account? – Step-by-Step Guide

Verifying your Outlook (Microsoft) account ensures that your account is secure, helps prevent unauthorized access, and allows access to additional features. Whether you’re verifying your email address, identity, or phone number, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Sign In to Your Outlook Account

Go to / Call 1-888-653-7618

Click Sign in and enter your Microsoft/Outlook email and password.

Step 2: Look for a Verification Prompt

After signing in, you may be prompted to verify your identity—especially if you’re:

Signing in from a new device

Recovering your account

Making security changes

Click "Next" to proceed.

Step 3: Choose a Verification Method

Microsoft usually offers these options:

Email verification (code sent to your alternate email)

Phone verification (SMS or call to your registered number)

Authenticator App (Microsoft Authenticator or others)

Choose your preferred option and click Send Code.

Step 4: Enter the Verification Code

Check your inbox, SMS, or authenticator app.

Enter the 6-digit code you receive.

Click Verify.

If the code is valid, you’ll be successfully verified.

Step 5: Add or Update Security Info (Optional but Recommended)

To enhance account security:

Go to Microsoft Account Security

Add or update:

Alternate email

Mobile number

Two-step verification

Step 6: Turn On Two-Step Verification (Highly Recommended)

Go to Security > Advanced Security Options

Turn on Two-Step Verification

Follow prompts to link your phone or app

This ensures that even if someone has your password, they can’t access your account.

Trouble Receiving the Code?

Check Spam/Junk folder (for email codes)

Ensure the phone number is active and has signal

Wait a few minutes and click Resend Code

Still having issues? Visit the Microsoft Account Recovery Page.

Stay Secure,

Don’t share your password or verification codes

Use a strong, unique password

Regularly review sign-in activity in your Microsoft account

Verify Outlook
